Nov. 28 Coinjock, NC to Bellhaven, NC (ICW M/M 131)

Left Midway Marina at 8:50AM. Cold night, but the boat was warm. Entered Albemarle Sound at 10:50AM, crossed the 14 miles to the Alligator River Bridge with 20 knots of wind and 3' seas directly astern. Our Duffy loves rough water, so we had a pleasant ride in very bumpy seas.

Passed through the bridge an hour later, following the Alligator River south into the 26 mile-long Alligator River/Pungo River canal; a nearly-perfect unpopuated wilderness. Stumps and giant dead trees line both sides of the 80-100 foot-wide waterway. You have to pay attention to stay in the middle of the varying width waterway. We arrived at Bellhaven's Dowry Creek Marina at 13:45PM, fueled and borrowed the loaner car to find a library with Wi-Fi capability
