Manatee sighting

Sunday Afternon, a small nine foot-long manatee swam next to our finger pier. A rarity in Key West, they drink only fresh water, so I fed the youngster from a hose while Kathy peeled off leaves of lettuce to feed it. The manatee stayed next to our boat for an half hour, then moved slowly onward.
