Ran north to New Smyrna's City Marina (15 miles south of Daytona Beach) for an overnight stop, with St. Augustine and Fernandina Beach as our next two overnight destinations.
Unfortunately, mother nature disagreed. Checking the weather before leaving on Friday, we found that a cold front would bring violent thunderstorms, hail, 60 MPH winds and possible tornados to St. Augustine (it did all of the above - and pummeled New Smyrna too!) So we stayed another night in our slip. On Saturday, steady 30 MPH winds, gusting to 45 MPH caused us to stay for a third night. Looks like Florida doesn't want us to leave!
